Paul Coyle
Paul Coyle started out his professional career as a high school teacher in New York City public schools. It was there that he first learned to be a mentor. Something that helped him guide young creatives during his time at Ogilvy, Soho Square and The Gate NY.
Upon returning to art school he discovered a love for design and advertising. In short order, he landed at Ogilvy New York and rose quickly through the ranks. Making partner and Senior Creative. When tough assignments came along, he was always among the creatives selected. And often, his work was chosen above others. Business win highlights include the Delta Airlines account, saving the Kraft account from moving to another agency, and being selected for an AdCouncil campaign.
But nothing lasts forever, and he took his act on the road, to Brasil (correctly spelled). He redefined the Avon campaign for Soho Square, São Paulo and left them to return to the United States. He quickly wound up at The Gate, New York. Working on financial service and business to business advertising. A new frontier for him, but one that he embraced and that rounded out his experience.
He heard the siren’s call again, and it brought me back to Brasil. This time it was as an entrepreneur and a small business owner. After ten years of hard work, learning what business people in the retail and restaurant industry face on a daily basis, he’s rejoined the advertising world. Life and professional experience intact.
Clients for whom he created stunning, effective and memorable work include: American Express, Avon, Bonobos, The Cat Practice, Delta, Environmental Defense Fund, Hershey’s, IBM, Kraft, Miller Lite, State Street, United Rentals, WebMD.
